How to Build Your Blog Audience

By: | In: , | Last Updated:

blog audienceOnce you’ve mastered all of the components that are needed to create a dynamic blog you then really need to focus on how you are going to build the audience that is going to read your blogs. Just as your content writing has taken a lot of your effort and concentration you are going to have to apply these same efforts to your audience building.
Your focus is going to have to begin to be placed on building email lists and developing social media communities. The first thing that you definitely have to keep in mind is that it takes time to build your marketing audience. You are basically going to be building a community that is going to well receive the blog posts that you create.
What your community is going to be made up of is not only those that are going to read your posts, but people that are going to be willing to direct others to your posts as well. These are what are called at influencers.
You can look at this a group of individuals that are your target market for reading your blogs as your blog community or your blog family. It is a group that is comprised of readers who want to follow you through your social media or subscribe to your offerings. These are people that will not only read your blogs but will also make comments on them, as well as individuals that are willing to share your blog post by passing them on. These are a very important group of people as they are the ones that are going to send you the traffic that you are looking for which will become leads and in many cases they can be turned into sales..
Before you can begin to build this community you have to know who it is that you want to be part of it. This is your target market. This is going to be your first step to building your blog audience and it is a very critical step to your success. There are several different ways that you go about doing this, and it is going to be a little time-consuming but will be well worth it.If you don’t go through this step then everything you do beyond this is not going to be near as meaningful.
One of the first platforms that many feel comfortable with when trying to build a blog community is the social platforms with the most favored in many cases being Facebook. This means that you are going to have to go through a learning curve to build up your Facebook page as you now want this to become a Facebook business page.Your approach to this is going to be somewhat different than it is for your social Facebook.
So you begin  by setting up your Facebook for business and going through all the required steps that are needed there. When your Facebook page is built then you need to reach out within the Facebook platform to other channels. What you want to do here is start creating your likes. You need to become in involved with other brands and comment on their offerings on Facebook. You want to focus on brands that are going to support yours. These are brands that are related to your niche.
You may want to do a little bit of financial investment here by getting involved in Facebook ads. This is going to help to build your followers.
Take a look and see if there’s any opportunity for you to build up partnerships with others within your industry that are related but are not to direct competitors.
Once you have mastered all that there is to know about your Facebook involvement for your business then you can move on to the other platforms and build these out by learning what the best tactics are for each of them.
Building your audience is not something that you are going to be able to do overnight it is going to take time, due diligence, and persistence on your part but it is something that you should never step back away from.
